Contract Manager

A tier one contractor in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager with experience working on large scale building projects in the Middle East.

Education Qualification:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Professional certifications in contracts, claims, arbitration, or commercial management would be an advantage.

Technical Skills \& Competency:

• Sound knowledge of FIDIC conditions of contract and construction contract administration.
• Good understanding of UAE Civil Law, UAE Commercial Law, arbitration procedures, and contractual dispute resolution.
• Ability to review and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, Bills of Quantities, commercial terms, and project correspondence.
• Experience preparing and reviewing contracts, subcontracts, amendments, contractual notices, claims, and formal correspondence.
• Knowledge of variations, Extension of Time claims, prolongation cost claims, payment applications, payment certificates, and final accounts.
• Ability to identify contractual risks, obligations, liabilities, and opportunities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Experience using document management platforms such as Aconex, Autodesk Construction Cloud, or equivalent.
• Familiarity with ERP or commercial systems such as SAP, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Oracle, or equivalent would be an advantage.

Experience:

• 10-15 years of experience in contracts management within the construction industry.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a Contracts Manager role.
• UAE/GCC construction experience is required.
• Main contracting experience is preferred.
• Experience on civil, building, infrastructure, residential, commercial, mixed-use, or complex construction projects.
• Experience handling contractual matters across the full project lifecycle, from tender stage through execution, completion, and close-out.
• Previous experience leading or supervising contracts, commercial, or claims teams.
