Job Description
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
We're building a unified cloud-native platform for secure, scalable acquisition and AI-driven analysis of diagnostic medical images — engineered to democratize expert-level imaging interpretation across geographies, institutions, and resource-limited settings.
Our technology combines deep learning, federated learning, and real-time telehealth orchestration to bring clinicians in rural hospitals, distributed oncology teams, and emergency departments the diagnostic capabilities typically reserved for top-tier academic medical centers. The platform supports DICOM/HL7/FHIR-native ingestion, multimodal collaboration, and regulatory-compliant data flows across jurisdictions.
We're entering a $22B global market at a moment when AI imaging, cross-border telehealth, and federated ML have matured enough to make our approach viable — and when geographic fragmentation in diagnostic expertise has never been more acute.
This is a co-founding opportunity. We're looking for a product leader who wants to own what they build — someone who is driven to create clinical-grade user experiences, not just ship features. As a founding member, you'll hold meaningful equity and shape every dimension of the product vision, roadmap, and clinical workflow from day one.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
THE ROLE
As CPO \& Co-Founder, you will own the product vision, roadmap, and end-to-end user experience — translating clinical complexity into intuitive, high-trust, workflow-native software that radiologists, oncologists, and emergency physicians actually want to use. You'll partner closely with the CTO on product-technology alignment, with the CMO on positioning and launch, and with the CBO on commercial-product fit.
Your core responsibilities:
- Define and own the product vision, strategy, and long-term roadmap across the entire platform.
- Architect the end-to-end clinical workflow — from image acquisition through AI interpretation, telehealth collaboration, and diagnostic reporting.
- Lead deep discovery with radiologists, oncologists, emergency physicians, hospital IT teams, and health system administrators — turning clinical insight into product decisions.
- Own product-market fit — validating hypotheses through design partner programs, pilot deployments, and iterative clinical testing.
- Design and lead the user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) strategy — ensuring clinical-grade usability across desktop, mobile, and embedded hospital contexts.
- Build and own the product requirements process — PRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, and prioritization frameworks.
- Partner with the CTO to translate product vision into technical execution — ensuring product and engineering velocity stay aligned.
- Lead the product design function — UX research, interaction design, visual design, and clinical usability testing.
- Own clinical validation strategy — defining the studies, protocols, and evidence required to support regulatory submissions and commercial adoption.
- Architect the product analytics and feedback loop — instrumentation, usage analytics, and continuous product learning from the field.
- Design the product's integration strategy — EHR, PACS, RIS, teleradiology platforms, and third-party AI modules.
- Recruit, build, and lead the founding product team — product managers, designers, researchers, and clinical product specialists.
- Partner with the COO on regulatory product requirements — SaMD classification, intended use statements, and design controls documentation.
- Represent the product publicly — at clinical conferences, with KOLs, in customer discovery, and with strategic partners.

REQUIREMENTS
- 10\+ years of product leadership, with at least 5 years in a CPO, VP Product, or Head of Product role in healthtech, medtech, digital health, or complex regulated SaaS.
- Proven track record building and shipping clinical-grade software — ideally across medical imaging, teleradiology, clinical decision support, or radiology workflow platforms.
- Deep understanding of clinical workflows — radiology, oncology, and emergency care — and the ability to credibly engage with clinicians as a product peer.
- Hands-on experience leading product strategy from zero to one — shaping an early-stage product through discovery, MVP, pilot, and commercial launch.
- Strong grasp of AI and ML product design — how to build interfaces, trust frameworks, and explainability features around machine learning outputs.
- Experience designing for multi-stakeholder healthcare products — clinician-facing, administrator-facing, and patient-facing surfaces simultaneously.
- Deep expertise in UX strategy, clinical usability testing, and design systems — ideally with experience building a design function from the ground up.
- Working knowledge of healthcare regulatory frameworks (HIPAA, GDPR, FDA SaMD, ISO 62366 usability engineering, IEC 62304) and how they shape product decisions.
- Strong technical literacy — you can hold your own in architecture conversations with the CTO and engineering team.
- Experience with EHR, PACS, HL7, FHIR, and DICOM integration strategy and product design.
- Exceptional communication and narrative skills — you can inspire engineers, align investors, and earn clinicians' trust with equal clarity.
- Startup "zero-to-one" mindset — you thrive with ambiguity, scarce resources, and the need to build a product before the playbook exists.
- Fluent English. Additional languages and international product experience are a strong plus.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
NICE TO HAVE
- Prior founding experience with a successful exit or meaningful product track record at an early-stage healthtech venture.
- Clinical background or formal training — radiologist, physician, nurse, clinical informaticist, or biomedical engineer.
- Experience leading product for a product that received FDA 510(k), De Novo, or CE Mark clearance.
- Background in teleradiology, AI imaging platforms, oncology software, or emergency care decision support tools.
- Published research, patents, or design contributions in medical imaging UX, clinical AI interfaces, or health informatics.
- Experience with international product launches, particularly across emerging healthcare markets with diverse clinical workflows.
- MBA, MPH, MD, or advanced degree in design, human-computer interaction, clinical informatics, or a related discipline (not required — track record matters more).
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
COMPENSATION \& EQUITY
This is an equity-only opportunity — no salary at this stage. As a co-founder, you will receive a significant equity stake reflecting your role as the founding product leader. This is for builders who want true ownership in a venture they help create from the ground up.
What's on the Table:
- Meaningful co-founder equity with vesting.
- Full ownership of the product vision, roadmap, user experience, and clinical workflow design.
- The opportunity to define the product DNA of a category-defining healthtech venture.
- A product with massive societal impact — bringing expert diagnostic imaging to underserved populations can change and save lives.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
WHY THIS VENTURE
- A clear, defensible technical moat at the intersection of cloud AI imaging, federated learning, and telehealth.
- A $22B global market with validated demand across rural hospitals, oncology networks, and emergency care.
- Real-world use cases already mapped: rural hospital imaging, distributed oncology team collaboration, and AI-driven emergency triage.
- A founding team with deep experience in entrepreneurship, product development, and technology architecture.
- A patent-grade platform approach with significant IP and commercial upside.
