Job Description
Position Summary
The Creative Director is responsible for leading and shaping the overall creative vision, brand identity, and storytelling direction of GQ across all channels. This role drives innovative campaigns, product communication, visual merchandising, content creation, and brand experiences that strengthen brand equity and business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Creative Strategy \& Brand Direction
- Define and lead the overall creative vision and brand identity of GQ.
- Develop creative strategies that align with business goals, seasonal campaigns, product launches, and brand positioning.
- Ensure consistency of visual language, tone, and storytelling across all touchpoints.
- Translate market trends, customer insights, and cultural movements into relevant creative concepts.
Campaign \& Content Development
- Lead end-to-end development of creative campaigns, including concept creation, art direction, production, and execution.
- Oversee photo shoots, video productions, digital content, social media assets, retail visuals, and advertising materials.
- Ensure all creative outputs meet brand standards, timelines, and quality expectations.
- Collaborate with commercial teams to optimize campaign performance and customer engagement.
Team Leadership \& Creative Management
- Lead, mentor, and inspire the creative team including graphic designers, photographers, videographers, stylists, and content creators.
- Foster a collaborative, innovative, and high-performance creative culture.
- Manage creative workflow, project prioritization, and resource allocation effectively.
- Provide constructive feedback and professional development support to team members.
Brand Experience \& Innovation
- Drive innovative ideas to elevate customer experience both online and offline.
- Oversee creative direction for retail stores, pop-up events, activations, and visual merchandising.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen brand differentiation and emotional connection with consumers.
- Stay updated on fashion, lifestyle, design, and digital trends to keep the brand culturally relevant.
Stakeholder \& Vendor Management
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to align creative initiatives with business priorities.
- Manage relationships with external agencies, production houses, photographers, stylists, and freelancers.
- Control creative budgets and ensure cost-effective production without compromising quality.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, Fashion Design, Marketing, Fine Arts, Communication Arts, or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in creative leadership, brand direction, or art direction, preferably in fashion, lifestyle, retail, or consumer brands.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating creative campaigns, branding, and storytelling capabilities.
- Proven experience leading cross-functional creative teams and large-scale projects.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing, social media, e-commerce, and content trends.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to balance creativity with commercial and business objectives.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and creative production tools.
