Job Description

The Creative Director of Digital Experience Design

is a key leadership role within our growing inter-disciplinary Riyadh studio to create the next generation of Destination, Brand Activation and Media \& Content experiences across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, where you will be working closely with other creative directors and the wider group on the visioning and conception of highly experiential immersive environments, agnostic to scale and channel.

QSAS prides itself in building a creative department of ‘T–Shaped’ people, meaning that while you will have a core specialism in digital interactive engagement and experiential design at which you will excel, your role will also include being asked to think across various design disciplines to assist and guide in the envisioning, development, production and delivery of physical and virtually-integrated attractions.

As a Creative Director you will report in directly to the head of creative and lead a team of senior, mid and junior creative personnel within the studio. You will possess exceptionally strong leadership skills, someone who thrives in collaborative environments as a team player with an innate ability to unlock, develop and nurture the team’s competencies to elevate our creative product offering.

Your core strengths should be rooted in the generation of Big Ideas, highly-conceptual design thinking, narrative ideation and overarching story-telling experience visioning. This will include all forms of digital communication touch-points, interactive media design, art direction, motion content, VR / AR technology design, UX / UI, film and content creation, and the mapping out the connected end-to-end persona journeys, all underpinned by deep understanding of cultural, heritage, historical and lifestyle factors and insights that drives our conceptual thinking.

You will be strategic and highly-capable on both B2C and B2B types of project and New Business pitch engagements, experienced at unpacking clients’ briefs to better understand their business, brand and audience challenges, and translate that into creative narrative-led inspiration to guide our design team.

It is also important that you have the attitude of a hands-on type of creative, able to be ‘on-the-tools’ when needed, to lead by design demonstration, to won presentation decks with a passion for visual excellence.

You will possess a charisma that shines through with impeccable inter-personal, human and communication skills, confident in articulating our work, presenting to senior clients and liaising with the stakeholders from different departments within our organization.

As a highly-organized operator, you have proven experience in managing small teams, delegating work-loads, planning foresight, an excellent listener and the ability and maturity to adapt and flex to changing project needs.

With an excellent understanding of what’s happening in your core creative industry field, you will have your finger on the pulse of relevant exemplars in the Kingdom and beyond, and will bring these insights and inspiration into our studio.

As a self-starter with an interpleural spirit you will liaise with clients directly in briefings, workshops, brainstorm sessions and presentations, as well as throughout project stages with vendors ensuring projects progress according to intention.
