Credit Trading Desk Analyst - Hedge Fund

We are seeking a junior Credit Trader to join the Credit Trading team to assist with all facets of the business, and specifically to support trading and analysis of corporate bonds, convertible bonds, credit default swaps, tranches, total return swaps, and swaptions, within a dynamic multi-strategy hedge fund. The ideal candidate will have strong quantitative skills, experience in both the cash and derivative credit markets, strong communication skills and a passion for applying analytics and fundamental analysis to portfolio positioning. The candidate will report to the Head of Relative Value Credit and the Chief Investment Officer.

This is an on-site role based in Boca Raton, Florida.

Duties \& Responsibilities

• Develop systematic tools to evaluate trade opportunities using various databases, AI, and analytical tools.
• Utilize quantitative and statistical methods to complete data-driven projects.
• Generate data, analysis, and charts for research and trade reports for both current and potential investors.
• Monitor ongoing developments in IG and HY credit markets, and communicate key insights to the trading desk
• Develop and maintain relationships with credit trading counterparties
• Assist with trade execution, risk analysis, P\&L reconciliation, and trade entry
• Work closely with senior traders and portfolio managers as well as developers and technology teams to test and implement model changes and to enhance strategy, tactics, and process.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Degree from a top-tier institution in an analytical subject
• 1-3 yrs experience on a credit trading desk
• Programming and database expertise (e.g., Python, R, C#, SQL, VBA ) as well as advanced excel proficiency
• Experience with the Bloomberg Terminal, and corporate bond electronic trading venues such as MarketAxess, Tradeweb, Trumid
• Experience with new issue and/or relative value analysis is a plus
