is building a next-generation electricity exchange that brings modern exchange technology to one of the world's largest and most important markets. Our platform will enable participants to hedge and trade electricity price risk through innovative perpetual futures products, helping power producers, data centers, utilities, and traders navigate an increasingly complex energy landscape.

We're looking for a hands-on, entrepreneurial CTO to lead the technology strategy, oversee exchange development, and help launch a category-defining marketplace at the intersection of energy, finance, and technology.

What You'll Do

• Lead the technology vision and architecture for a new electricity trading exchange.
• Manage and partner with external development teams while building the long-term engineering organization.
• Oversee exchange launch and ongoing platform operations.
• Design and scale critical exchange infrastructure, including:
• Matching engines
• Market data systems
• Risk management platforms
• Trading and order management systems
• Margin, collateral, and liquidation frameworks
• Establish real-time monitoring, risk controls, and operational processes that ensure exchange performance and solvency.
• Partner closely with founders, product leaders, and quantitative experts to bring innovative energy derivatives products to market.
• Help recruit and mentor future engineering talent as the company grows.

What We're Looking For

• Direct experience operating technology for a crypto exchange, futures exchange, electronic trading venue, or similar financial marketplace.
• Deep understanding of:
• Matching engines
• Real-time risk systems
• Trading infrastructure
• Exchange operations
• Market surveillance and platform resiliency
• Proven ability to thrive in startup environments where execution matters as much as strategy.
• Comfortable joining an early-stage company with significant equity upside and long-term growth potential.
• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD from a highly regarded technical institution preferred.
