About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Cybersecurity Engineer with over five years of hands-on experience in safeguarding enterprise environments. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of security across cloud platforms, applications, networks, endpoints, and infrastructure. This role requires a detail-oriented professional capable of independently identifying vulnerabilities, assessing risks, and implementing effective security measures. The Cybersecurity Engineer will play a critical role in developing, managing, and enhancing our security controls, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and responding swiftly to security incidents. The position offers an exciting opportunity to work remotely within India, collaborating with cross-functional teams to strengthen our clients' security frameworks and protect critical assets.
Qualifications
The successful candidate should have a minimum of five years of experience in cybersecurity or information security roles. Strong expertise in vulnerability management, patch management, penetration testing, security assessments, web application security, and infrastructure security is essential. Candidates must have demonstrated experience securing web applications, APIs, databases, servers, endpoints, and enterprise networks, especially within cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. A solid understanding of network security principles, firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, endpoint security, and SIEM tools is required. Knowledge of industry standards like OWASP Top 10, CVSS scoring, and best practices for vulnerability remediation is also critical. Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security\+, OSCP, or cloud security certifications will be considered a plus.
Responsibilities
The Cybersecurity Engineer will be responsible for implementing and managing security controls across diverse environments, including cloud, on-premises, and hybrid infrastructures. Key responsibilities include conducting vulnerability assessments, security reviews, risk analysis, and developing remediation strategies. Managing end-to-end vulnerability and patch management programs will be a core aspect of the role, requiring prioritization, tracking, validation, and reporting of vulnerabilities. The engineer will perform penetration testing and security testing on web applications, APIs, cloud workloads, and infrastructure components to identify and mitigate security weaknesses. Supporting the secure design, configuration, and hardening of servers, endpoints, firewalls, and enterprise platforms is essential. Monitoring security events, investigating alerts, and managing incidents using SIEM and security monitoring tools form a vital part of the role. The candidate will also collaborate with development, infrastructure, and operations teams to remediate vulnerabilities, prepare comprehensive security reports, and assist in developing and implementing cybersecurity policies aligned with industry standards. Staying updated on emerging threats, attack techniques, and new security technologies is crucial to maintaining a robust security posture.
