Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled

Release Engineer

to manage and automate software release processes across development, testing, staging, and production environments. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with CI/CD pipelines, release automation, version control, cloud platforms, deployment processes, and production change management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute software releases across multiple environments.
  • Build and maintain

CI/CD pipelines

for automated application deployment.

  • Automate build, deployment, release, and rollback processes.
  • Manage release schedules, versioning, branching strategies, and deployment dependencies.
  • Coordinate with Development, QA, DevOps, Infrastructure, Security, and Product teams.
  • Ensure releases meet quality, security, and operational requirements.
  • Monitor deployments and troubleshoot release or deployment failures.
  • Implement automated rollback and recovery procedures.
  • Manage release artifacts and configuration across environments.
  • Maintain release documentation, deployment procedures, and change records.
  • Support production deployments and post-release validation.
  • Identify opportunities to improve release frequency, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Implement appropriate release controls and approval processes.
  • Participate in incident resolution related to deployment and release activities.
  • Support continuous improvement of

DevOps and Release Management

practices.

Required Skills

  • 3–7 years of experience in

Release Engineering, DevOps, Build Engineering, or Deployment Engineering

.

  • Strong experience with

CI/CD tools

such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.

  • Strong knowledge of

Git, branching, merging, tagging, and version control

.

  • Experience with build and deployment automation.
  • Hands-on experience with

Linux/Unix environments

.

  • Scripting experience using

Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar

.

  • Experience deploying applications across Dev, QA, UAT, staging, and production environments.
  • Understanding of release management, change management, and configuration management.
  • Experience with application monitoring and deployment troubleshooting.
  • Strong understanding of Agile and DevOps methodologies.
