About the role:
Lead and manage client-facing BI Analytics \& Insights engagements for Heavy Equipment Dealership groups across Construction, Agriculture, and Material Handling. This is a senior consulting role responsible for helping dealership executives modernize analytics, standardize KPIs, and translate operational data into measurable financial and operational outcomes.
The role blends deep dealership operations knowledge, advanced Microsoft BI capabilities, and executive advisory skills. Partner directly with dealer principals, CFOs, and functional leaders to design scalable KPI frameworks, modernize reporting, and drive data-led performance improvement across multi-branch dealer organizations.
Responsibilities:
Client Advisory \& Engagement
- Own client analytics roadmap from discovery through value realization
- Lead discovery workshops with dealer principals
- Analyze requirements, diagnose gaps across departmental operations
- Translate dealership strategy into measurable KPI frameworks
- Present executive-ready insights and KPI roadmaps
- Manage multiple customer engagements concurrently
Analytics Solution Design \& Delivery
- Define / Analyze business requirements, metrics, and scoping for development and /or customization of reports/dashboards/KPIs
- Architect and standardize operational dashboards for dealerships based on roles, industry, and multi-branch/multi-geographical dealer groups
- Improve reporting governance, automation, and data integrity
Dealership Performance Optimization
- Drive measurable improvement across industry metrics and KPIs such as (but not limited to):
- Service absorption rates
- Labor Productivity
- Parts inventory turns
- Equipment Sales margin and ROA
- Rental fleet utilization and ROI
Practice \& Business Development
- Support pre-sales efforts through solution design and customer presentations
- Contribute to proposal development and scoping
- Position VitalEdge as a thought leader in heavy equipment industry metrics and analytics
Required Experience
- 6\+ years in Business Intelligence, Analytics Consulting
- Strong experience in Heavy Equipment dealership environments across Construction, Material Handling, Agriculture, or Mining, including direct exposure to dealership financial and operational KPIs.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft BI (Power BI, Semantic Models, ETLs, Fabric, Data Lake)
- Strong SQL and data modelling expertise
- Proven ability to influence senior operational leaders
Preferred Qualifications
- Microsoft Certified Power BI Data Analyst
