Job Description

About Aboard

Aboard is building a new kind of travel trailer for the way people live and travel now.

Our first product, the T4, brings together automotive engineering, hybrid-electric

technology and California Modern design in one integrated system, creating greater

freedom to travel, stay longer and live comfortably wherever you stop.

We’re a small, fast-moving team building both a new product and a new brand. We’re

looking for a Social \& Content Manager who can help bring that story to life every day.

The Role

We’re looking for a hands-on Social \& Content Manager to own Aboard’s organic social

presence and help turn our product, people and progress into compelling content.

This is not a role for someone who only wants to brainstorm content ideas or manage

agencies. You should be equally comfortable building a channel strategy, filming something

on your phone, editing a Reel, writing the caption, publishing it and looking at the

performance afterward to understand what to do next.

You’ll own the day-to-day programming of our social channels, with a particular focus on

Instagram, while helping Aboard build a consistent presence across YouTube, Facebook,

LinkedIn and Discord.

Because we are a small team, you’ll work across strategy and execution. Some content will

be polished and produced with external creative partners. Some will need to be captured,

edited and published by you in real time. Knowing when each approach is right is part of the

job.

What You’ll Do

  • Own Aboard’s Social Channels
  • Develop and manage Aboard’s organic social strategy and programming across
  • Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn and Discord.
  • Own the social content calendar from planning through publishing.
  • Translate broader brand, product and business priorities into channel-specific

content.

  • Maintain a consistent cadence while balancing planned programming with timely

opportunities.

  • Understand the distinct role, audience and format requirements of each channel

rather than simply reposting the same content everywhere.

  • Ensure everything published feels unmistakably Aboard.

Create Content

  • Concept, shoot and edit high-quality photo and video content for social channels.
  • Capture low-lift, authentic content using a phone or lightweight production setup

when speed matters.

  • Create short-form video, product content, behind-the-scenes storytelling,

founder/team content and other social-first formats.

  • Capture content at product demos, events, tests, tours, launches and other

moments as they happen.

  • Identify strong stories within the everyday work of building Aboard rather than

waiting for someone else to hand you a content idea.

  • Repurpose larger creative productions into channel-appropriate social assets.

Write \+ Publish

  • Write clear, compelling, channel-appropriate captions and social copy in the Aboard

brand voice.

  • Optimize copy, titles, descriptions and metadata for social discovery and search

where appropriate.

  • Publish and schedule content across owned social channels.
  • Maintain strong attention to product details, terminology, claims and specifications.
  • Work closely with marketing and product teams to ensure content is accurate

before it goes live.

Direct External Creative

  • Write clear creative briefs for photographers, videographers, editors, designers and

other external partners.

  • Work with external creative resources to produce larger or more specialized content.

Provide actionable feedback and ensure outside work adheres to Aboard’s brand

standards.

  • Manage multiple content workstreams simultaneously and keep projects moving

against deadlines.

Build Community

  • Monitor and participate in conversations across Aboard’s social channels and

Discord community.

  • Respond to questions and comments in a way that is helpful, informed and on brand.
  • Surface recurring questions, customer feedback and community insights to the

broader team.

  • Identify opportunities to turn community conversations into useful content.
  • Help build relationships with future owners, enthusiasts and people discovering

Aboard for the first time.

Measure \+ Improve

  • Monitor social performance and report on the metrics that matter.
  • Use performance data to understand what content, topics and formats are

resonating.

  • Translate insights into changes in programming rather than reporting metrics for

their own sake.

  • Test new formats, creative approaches and platform features.
  • Stay current on evolving platform behavior and recommend where Aboard should —

and should not — participate.

What We’re Looking For

  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing social strategy for a brand.
  • A portfolio or examples showing social channels and content you have personally

helped build or manage.

  • Strong understanding of Instagram and Meta platforms, with working knowledge of

YouTube, LinkedIn and community platforms such as Discord.

  • Ability to shoot and edit strong social-first photo and video content independently.
  • Experience creating short-form vertical video.
  • Strong writing skills and the ability to adapt copy for different platforms and

audiences.

  • Ability to translate a brand strategy into practical day-to-day content.
  • Experience briefing and managing external designers, photographers, videographers

or editors.

  • Strong project-management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and

deadlines at once.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where priorities can evolve

quickly.

  • Proactive, resourceful and able to move work forward without waiting for detailed

instructions.

  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn the product deeply enough to

communicate it accurately.

You’ll Be Especially Strong in This Role If You

  • Are as interested in making content as talking about it.
  • See a product test, customer visit or engineering milestone and immediately start

thinking about how to tell the story.

  • Know the difference between content that needs a full production and content that

should simply be filmed and posted.

  • Can turn one meaningful moment into multiple pieces of content without making

them feel repetitive.

  • Have strong visual instincts but understand that beautiful content still needs a

purpose.

  • Enjoy working closely with founders, designers, engineers and product teams.
  • Are curious about design, mobility, automotive, technology, travel or the outdoors.
  • Care about building a brand over time, not chasing trends for their own sake.

What Success Looks Like

You’ll help make Aboard’s social channels one of the clearest ways for people to discover

the brand, understand why the T4 is different and see tangible evidence of the company’s

continued progress.

That means creating a presence that is:

  • Consistent without becoming repetitive.
  • Beautiful without feeling overly produced.
  • Informative without becoming technical for technical’s sake.
  • Timely without chasing every trend.
  • Distinctive enough that the work feels like Aboard even before someone sees the

logo.

  • Most importantly, you’ll create a reliable content engine that allows a small team to

consistently tell a much bigger story.
