Job Description

Business Development Manager — Channel Partnerships

Company

CFS Solutions (a Banyan Software company)

Reports to

Chief Executive Officer

Location

Tallahassee, FL or remote (US), with travel

Type

Full-time, exempt

Compensation

Competitive base \+ uncapped commission on channel growth \+ partner bonuses

Grow the partner channel that brings a 25-year banking software company to market.

CFS's deposit automation software runs in 500\+ community banks and credit unions, reached mainly through 40\+ resellers and service partners. You'll be the first person whose whole job is growing that channel — new partners, bigger partners, and new routes to market.

About CFS

CFS Solutions automates the deposit, imaging, and payment workflows financial institutions depend on. Our products — InstantX™, Check Review, TranSend, and DirectBranch — capture every ATM and ITM transaction and deliver it to the institution's image processor and core. Founded in 2000 and now part of the Banyan Software portfolio, CFS is a small, profitable team that runs on clear scorecards and heavy use of AI tooling.

The role

This is a growth seat, reporting directly to the CEO. Our channel already produces most of our new business, but it has never had a dedicated commercial owner. You'll take a defined portfolio of partners — our developing resellers, the dormant ones worth reviving, and every new partner you sign — and grow what it books. As you prove the model, ownership of our largest partner relationships moves to you.

You sell through the channel, not around it. Delivery, implementation, and backlog belong to other teams; your job is bringing new business in.

What you'll do

1\. Grow our existing partners.

  • Help partners land new financial institutions and grow terminal counts inside the fleets they already serve.
  • Run partner business reviews on a regular cadence, each with a written growth plan.
  • Reactivate dormant partners with a clear reason to sell CFS again.
  • Own reseller agreements and renewals, working within CFS's published pricing structure.

2\. Add new partners and new channels.

  • Recruit and onboard new resellers in the ATM/ITM hardware and service channel.
  • Open new routes to market — core providers, processors, and data centers that resell or integrate CFS.

3\. Keep partners equipped to sell.

  • Define the collateral, playbooks, and enablement each partner needs.
  • Build much of it yourself with AI tools, with support from our Customer Experience team.
  • If a partner can't position or sell CFS, fix it. Work with development team on products that will work.
  • Understand resellers ICPs.

Where this seat starts and stops

The audience decides the owner. When the audience is the partner as a business — terms, growth plans, recruitment, renewals — the meeting is yours. When the audience is an end customer — a product demo, training, or presentation, even one a partner requested — it goes to our Customer Experience team. Direct customer relationships stay with the Customer Experience Manager.

Your first six months

The first quarter is a ramp: learn the partners, then build the plan.

Period

What done looks like

Months 1–3

Met every partner in your portfolio; partner map delivered; first business-review calendar booked

Months 4–6

Business reviews held with developing partners; reactivation calls made with dormant ones; written growth plan per partner; new-partner pipeline building

Year one

Portfolio bookings growing above their starting baseline; first new partner signed and producing

What we're looking for

  • 5\+ years in channel, partner, or business development sales in banking technology

— fintech, payments, ATM/ITM, or core-adjacent software. You know how community banks and credit unions buy.

  • Ecosystem fluency.

You know the core landscape (Jack Henry, Fiserv, FIS, CSI, Corelation and others). Existing reseller or ISO relationships are a plus.

  • Project management skills.

You run partner plans, onboarding, and deal follow-through like projects, with dates and owners.

  • Exceptionally organized.

Every partner, deal, and renewal is tracked in the CRM and current. HubSpot experience is a plus.

  • Strong communicator

in writing and in the room, with partner executives and their sales teams.

  • Comfortable with AI tools

for research, collateral, and outreach.

  • Comfortable carrying a number

on an uncapped plan and being measured on a public scorecard.

  • Willing to travel

to partners, industry events, and core-vendor conferences.

Compensation

You're paid for the growth you create, not the book you inherit.

  • Competitive base salary.
  • Uncapped commission

on partner-channel bookings above your portfolio's starting baseline, paid as booked business is invoiced and collected.

  • New-partner and new-channel bonuses

, with most of the money tied to the partner going live and producing.

  • Company performance bonus

when CFS beats its annual bookings goal.

  • Benefits package. Plan details are shared during the interview process.

Why this role

  • A profitable product with 25 years in market, 500\+ live institutions as references, and a channel that already produces — but has never had a dedicated owner. You'll report to the CEO, shape the partner program from the ground up, and earn on every dollar of growth you add, with no cap.
