Profile Requirements:

• Video Editing Experience: 2\.5-5 years of hands-on video editing experience, preferably with short- form, social-first content for brands, creators, or retail-focused businesses.
• Industry Familiarity (Preferred): Experience editing content related to trading cards, collectibles, Pokémon, card shops, live streams, or similar hobby- driven communities is strongly preferred.
• Editing Tools \& Workflow: Comfortable using content editing tools such as CapCut or similar platforms.
• Attention to Detail: Strong eye for pacing, visual hooks, subtitle accuracy, and clean edits, with the ability to quickly understand and match an established editing style.
• Communication \& Time Zone Alignment: Fluent English communication skills and availability to work in or overlap significantly with U.S. Pacific time zone to support real-time feedback and revisions.
• Collaboration \& Reliability: Able to handle frequent feedback early on, and committed to long-term consistency and growth rather than short- term freelance output.

Core responsibilities:

• Short-Form Video Editing: Edit and deliver 20-25 short-form videos per week (TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts) focused on strong visual hooks, fast pacing, and audience retention within the trading card and collectibles space.
• Long-Form YouTube Content: Edit one long-form YouTube video per week (approx. 10-13 mins) from recorded streams, in-store content, card shows, vending events, and similar footage.
• Content Clipping \& Selection: Review large volumes of raw footage and identify high- potential moments, hooks, and clips that translate into engaging short-form \& long-form content.
• Captioning \& Accuracy: Add and correct subtitles manually when needed, ensuring captions accurately match spoken English and maintain clarity, timing, and on-screen readability.
• Revision Collaboration: Work closely with the owner who films the content to handle feedback, revisions, and adjustments quickly without long delays between edit rounds.
• Platform-Ready Output: Format and export videos correctly for each platform, with optional posting to TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, and YouTube using native tools or schedulers when requested.
