Your Role
The Stellarus Product and UX team defines and designs technology products, creating solutions for users across the spectrum of healthcare. The Product Designer, Consultant will report to the Director of UX Research \& Product Design. In this role you will work with internal stakeholders and team members to design digital product solutions that solve and support our user’s needs, expectations, and pain points. Responsibilities
Your Work
In this role, you will:
- Lead the evolution, governance, and adoption of the design system, including components, patterns, and usage standards across digital products
- Partner closely with Engineering to ensure design system components are scalable, accessible, and consistently implemented
- Establish and maintain contribution models, documentation, and quality standards for the design system
- Drive alignment across product teams to increase consistency, efficiency, and reuse through the design system
- Support targeted product design work across the product lifecycle (discovery through delivery), with a focus on high-impact or complex initiatives
- Apply a broad UX skillset (research, wireframing, prototyping) to inform and validate design decisions where needed
- Collaborate with product, business, and engineering partners to scope work, prioritize design efforts, and deliver user-centered solutions
- Tackle complex, ambiguous problems and help define scalable design approaches that can be incorporated back into the system
Qualifications
Your Knowledge and Experience
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree or High School Diploma/GED and 4 years of additional relevant experience in lieu of a degree
- Requires 7 years prior relevant experience
- Requires at least 2 years of experience in digital product development lifecycle
- Requires a portfolio to be submitted in application
- Competency in any of the other design disciplines - User Research/User Testing, Visual Design, Motion Design, Human Factors Engineering; a big plus
- Experience in the health or wellness industry, a plus
- Experience on teams shipping digital product, a plus

Pay Range for California : $123090\.00 to $184800\.00
Pay Range for Bay Area : $138756\.00 to $208320\.00
Note : Please note that this range represents the pay range for this and many other positions at Blue Shield that fall into this pay grade. Blue Shield salaries are based on a variety of factors, including the candidate experience, location (California, Bay Area, or outside California), and current employee salaries for similar roles.
