International Buyer

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented International Buyer to manage and expand our client's global product sourcing strategy. This role is responsible for identifying, negotiating, and securing unique products from international vendors, with a strong focus on Mandarin-speaking markets. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of global supply chains, excels in vendor relations, and brings a sharp eye for trending and high-quality merchandise.

Key Responsibilities:

• Source and procure products from international markets, with an emphasis on Mandarin-speaking regions
• Build and maintain strong relationships with overseas suppliers and manufacturers
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to ensure cost efficiency and product quality
• Monitor global market trends to identify new product opportunities and maintain a competitive assortment
• Coordinate with logistics partners to manage shipping, customs, and delivery timelines
• Ensure compliance with import regulations, product standards, and company guidelines
• Collaborate with internal teams on inventory planning, merchandising, and product launches
• Conduct regular supplier evaluations to ensure performance, quality, and reliability

Qualifications:

• Fluency in Mandarin (spoken) is required
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, International Trade, or related field preferred
• 3\+ years of experience in international purchasing, sourcing, or procurement
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Experience working with overseas vendors and understanding of import/export processes
• Ability to analyze market trends and make data-driven purchasing decisions
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects

Preferred Skills:

• Experience sourcing consumer goods, gifts, or specialty retail products
• Familiarity with global trade regulations and customs procedures
• Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
