NOVA Engineering and Environmental is seeking an
Environmental Staff Scientist
/
Biologist
to join our growing Environmental team in
Charlotte, NC.
This position is ideal for an early‑ to mid‑career environmental professional with strong experience in
wetland delineations, endangered species assessments
, and environmental permitting support. Experience conducting Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) is a significant plus.
The successful candidate will support a variety of public and private sector projects throughout the Carolinas and surrounding regions, working closely with senior staff, project managers, and clients to deliver high‑quality environmental consulting services.
Requirements:
- 2 – 4 years of experience of wetlands regulations and endangered species requirements
- Civil/Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or Biology Degree is preferred, not required
- Experience with environmental fieldwork and report preparation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Ability to perform outdoor fieldwork in varying conditions
