Job Description
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
We're building a unified cloud-native platform for secure, scalable acquisition and AI-driven analysis of diagnostic medical images — engineered to democratize expert-level imaging interpretation across geographies, institutions, and resource-limited settings.
Our technology combines deep learning, federated learning, and real-time telehealth orchestration to bring clinicians in rural hospitals, distributed oncology teams, and emergency departments the diagnostic capabilities typically reserved for top-tier academic medical centers. The platform supports DICOM/HL7/FHIR-native ingestion, multimodal collaboration, and regulatory-compliant data flows across jurisdictions.
We're entering a $22B global market at a moment when AI imaging, cross-border telehealth, and federated ML have matured enough to make our approach viable — and when geographic fragmentation in diagnostic expertise has never been more acute.
This is a co-founding opportunity. We're looking for a business development and strategic partnerships leader who wants to own what they build — someone who is driven to create commercial pathways, not just close deals. As a founding member, you'll hold meaningful equity and shape every dimension of the company's commercial architecture from day one.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
THE ROLE
As CBO \& Co-Founder, you will architect and execute the company's commercial and partnership strategy — turning a breakthrough clinical platform into a global network of health system deployments, strategic alliances, and revenue-generating channels. You'll partner closely with the CEO on fundraising narrative and with the CTO on product-commercial alignment.
Your core responsibilities:
- Define and own the company's commercial strategy, revenue model, and pricing architecture.
- Build and lead strategic partnership pipelines with hospital networks, teleradiology providers, imaging device manufacturers, payers, and regional health systems.
- Design and execute the design partner program — landing early hospital pilots and converting them into commercial contracts.
- Architect and lead enterprise sales strategy into health systems, oncology networks, emergency care providers, and international public health organizations.
- Build channel and distribution strategies across geographies — including emerging healthcare markets where the platform's impact is greatest.
- Negotiate and close high-value commercial agreements: enterprise contracts, channel partnerships, co-development deals, and strategic alliances.
- Develop and manage relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), clinical champions, and medical advisory networks that accelerate adoption.
- Own reimbursement strategy — CPT coding, payer negotiations, and value-based care positioning where applicable.
- Lead business intelligence, market research, and competitive positioning to inform product roadmap and commercial priorities.
- Recruit, build, and lead the founding commercial team — BD, sales, partnerships, and customer success.
- Partner with the CEO on investor commercial diligence, board reporting, and strategic M\&A opportunities.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
REQUIREMENTS
- 10\+ years of commercial leadership, with at least 5 years in a CBO, Chief Commercial Officer, VP Business Development, or VP Partnerships role in healthtech, medtech, or digital health.
- Proven track record closing complex, high-value enterprise deals with hospitals, health systems, payers, or medical imaging networks.
- Deep expertise in healthcare commercial models — enterprise SaaS, per-scan pricing, value-based care, outcomes-based contracts, and reimbursement strategy.
- Strong understanding of healthcare buying cycles, procurement processes, and decision-maker mapping across IT, clinical, and financial stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience building strategic alliances and channel partnerships with device manufacturers, health system consortia, or integrated delivery networks.
- Established network of relationships across hospital executives, teleradiology networks, medical imaging vendors, and healthcare commercial decision-makers.
- Working knowledge of healthcare regulatory and compliance frameworks (HIPAA, GDPR, FDA SaMD, CE Mark) and how they shape commercial strategy.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills — you can command a boardroom, close a CMO, and align an investor in the same week.
- Startup "zero-to-one" mindset — you thrive with ambiguity, scarce resources, and the need to create commercial pathways where none exist.
- Fluent English. Additional languages and international healthcare market experience are a strong plus.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
NICE TO HAVE
- Prior founding experience with a successful exit or meaningful commercial track record at an early-stage healthtech venture.
- Experience scaling a healthtech company from pilot to enterprise revenue across multiple geographies.
- Background in teleradiology, medical imaging, oncology care networks, or emergency medicine commercial models.
- Existing relationships with strategic corporate partners (GE, Philips, Siemens Healthineers, imaging platform providers, or major health systems).
- Experience with international market entry, particularly in underserved or emerging healthcare markets.
- MBA or advanced degree in healthcare management, business, or a clinical discipline (not required — track record matters more).
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
COMPENSATION \& EQUITY
This is an equity-only opportunity — no salary at this stage. As a co-founder, you will receive a significant equity stake reflecting your role as the founding commercial and partnerships leader. This is for builders who want true ownership in a venture they help create from the ground up.
What's on the Table:
- Meaningful co-founder equity with vesting.
- Full ownership of the company's commercial strategy, partnership architecture, and revenue engine.
- The opportunity to define the go-to-market DNA of a category-defining healthtech venture.
- A product with massive societal impact — bringing expert diagnostic imaging to underserved populations can change and save lives.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
WHY THIS VENTURE
- A clear, defensible technical moat at the intersection of cloud AI imaging, federated learning, and telehealth.
- A $22B global market with validated demand across rural hospitals, oncology networks, and emergency care.
- Real-world use cases already mapped: rural hospital imaging, distributed oncology team collaboration, and AI-driven emergency triage.
- A founding team with deep experience in entrepreneurship, product development, and technology architecture.
- A patent-grade platform approach with significant IP and commercial upside.
