Engineering Design (Plastic and Steel parts)

Job Description:

• Own concept-to-design development with a focus on technical excellence and quality.
• Create and update 2D layout settings, 3D models and drawings for plastic and steel parts to meet design requirements.
• Perform basic simulations and collaborate with CAE teams to validate design feasibility, including troubleshooting and proposing countermeasures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Purchasing, Manufacturing, Suppliers, Styling Design and Performance development team, both domestically and internationally.
• Develop engineering specifications and cost estimates for automotive design concepts.
• Act as person in charge for assigned parts, responsible for design execution and issue follow‑up

Qualification

• 3 to 10 years’ experience in automotive plastic and steel parts design.
• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Engineering, Engineering Technology (Design) field.
• Proficient in CATIA (3D Surface modeling, 2D layout, and 2D drawings).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills with systematic and logical thinking
• Self-planning and good work organization skills.
• Strong passion for automotive engineering design.
• English TOEIC ≥500 or equivalent basic working English.
• Able to explain design ideas, issues, countermeasures and participate in simple discussions in English
