Job Description

Our client is a well-established, privately held, growth-oriented manufacturer serving the gas treatment and emission control industry. Due to continued expansion, they are seeking an experienced Project Engineering Manager to join their leadership team.

Project Engineering Manager will provide technical design leadership across the engineering function while overseeing the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the company's Quality Management System. This is a hands-on leadership role for a mechanical or process engineering professional who is equally comfortable managing a team, engaging directly with clients, and driving quality standards across a manufacturing environment.

What you'll do:

  • Provide direction and oversight of the Engineering Department's operations and processes
  • Develop project scopes and objectives in collaboration with stakeholders, ensuring technical feasibility
  • Lead the execution of engineering projects from concept through delivery
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of engineers and technical staff
  • Act as the primary technical liaison with customers and vendors
  • Lead design teams in developing customized solutions for client needs
  • Establish and maintain Quality Management System processes aligned with national and international standards
  • Track quality metrics, investigate root causes, and drive corrective and preventive actions
  • Ensure all engineering work complies with applicable legislation, regulations, and professional engineering standards
  • Champion a culture of Health \& Safety, Environmental responsibility, and continuous improvement

What you'll bring:

  • Licensed P.E
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years' experience leading engineering teams
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant quality control experience
  • Mechanical design experience with gas systems, pumps, compressors, piping, or mobile units
  • Hands-on field experience in oil \& gas, gas treating, heavy manufacturing, or industrial service sectors
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements and their application in engineering and production settings
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, SolidWorks, Bluebeam, and Visio; HYSYS experience considered an asset
  • Strong leadership, communication, and client engagement skills, with a detail-oriented, analytical approach
