Job Description
We’re looking for a licensed Occupational Therapist to join our growing outpatient orthopedic practice. This role is ideal for an OT who enjoys helping patients regain independence, improve functional movement, and return to the activities that matter most to them.
What You’ll Do
- Evaluate and treat patients with upper extremity, orthopedic, and post-surgical conditions
- Develop individualized treatment plans focused on improving strength, mobility, coordination, and daily function
- Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, activity-based rehabilitation, and functional training
- Provide patient education on injury prevention, joint protection, adaptive strategies, and home exercise programs
- Fabricate or assist with splinting and orthotic management as needed
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
- Complete timely and accurate documentation in the EMR
- Collaborate closely with physicians, physical therapists, and clinical staff to support quality patient care
- Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient treatment environment
What We’re Looking For:
Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
Current Texas OT license (or eligibility to obtain)
CPR/BLS certification
Strong communication and patient-care skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced outpatient setting
Preferred Experience:
Outpatient orthopedic or hand therapy experience
Experience with post-operative rehabilitation
Familiarity with EMR systems
Splinting or upper extremity rehabilitation experience
