Job Title: Social Content Specialist

Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid - on-site 2 days per week)

Duration: 03\+ Months (Contract/Temp with the possibility of extension)

Shift: 1st Shift

Pay Range: $23/hr to $25/hr

Schedule: 40 hours/week

Travel: Up to 25% (not likely that much) maybe once a quarter

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly creative and trend-savvy

Social Content Specialist

to join a dynamic marketing team supporting well-known consumer brands. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who lives and breathes social media, enjoys storytelling, and is comfortable both behind and in front of the camera.

This role is ideal for a creative individual who can produce engaging, platform-native content and bring brand stories to life through compelling visuals and on-camera presence.

Key Responsibilities

Create engaging, scroll-stopping content for platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook

Design static graphics and edit short-form videos aligned with brand guidelines and trends

Appear in and help produce on-camera content, including videos and social posts

Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to align content with campaigns

Stay up to date on social media trends, platform updates, and emerging formats

Support development of creative briefs, templates, and social toolkits

Monitor and engage with audiences across social media platforms

Respond to comments and messages in a timely, brand-appropriate manner

Identify and escalate trends, opportunities, or potential issues

Required Qualifications

1–2\+ years of experience in social media content creation

Strong skills in graphic design and video editing (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, CapCut, or similar tools)

Comfortable appearing on camera and creating video content

Solid understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practices

Strong communication and copywriting skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

Portfolio showcasing relevant social media or creative work

Preferred Qualifications

Acting, theatre, or on-camera performance experience

Experience with social media management tools (e.g., Sprinklr)

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Design, or related field

Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus
