Role Description

This is a part-time, on demand Hindi Language Tutor position for UA students, based in Tucson, AZ. The tutor will lead and support language practice sessions, facilitate conversational activities, and reinforce course content to build students’ speaking and listening proficiency in Hindi. Responsibilities include preparing lesson materials, offering individual or small-group tutoring, monitoring student progress, and providing constructive feedback. The tutor may assist with basic grading related to practice activities, help students develop study strategies, and collaborate with program staff and instructors to align tutoring support with course objectives. Occasional participation in program meetings, workshops, or cultural events may be required.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Tutoring and Teaching skills, with the ability to explain concepts clearly and support diverse learning styles.
• Candidates should possess at least CEFR C1 level Hindi proficiency and effective Communication skills in English
• Candidates would ideally possess Online Tutoring skills and be comfortable using digital platforms and educational technologies when needed.
• Current full-time enrollment as a UA student in good academic standing, with reliable availability
• Ability to create an inclusive, respectful learning environment and work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and peers.
• Prior teaching, tutoring, or mentoring experience in language learning contexts is preferred.
