Compensation:
$70,000 – $95,000 \+ bonus potential
Our client is revolutionizing retail with innovative solutions that elevate and humanize the in-store experience. The Buyer will be responsible for end-to-end purchasing of goods, materials, and services to support production, project execution, and overall operations. This role plays a critical part in ensuring supply continuity while balancing cost, quality, and delivery. The Buyer will partner cross-functionally and operate with a high level of ownership across supplier relationships, purchasing strategy, and process improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Purchase materials, components, and services in alignment with cost, quality, and delivery targets
- Ensure continuous supply of goods to support production schedules and project timelines
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors
- Monitor supplier performance and conduct regular evaluations
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks that could impact delivery or operations
- Lead negotiations and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements
- Resolve issues related to pricing, quality, delivery, and invoicing
- Maintain accurate purchasing data, documentation, and ERP system transactions
- Oversee inventory levels and support forecasting efforts
- Collaborate with internal teams including Operations, Project Management, Engineering, Finance, and Sales
- Contribute to process improvements that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and strengthen supplier performance
- Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies, procedures, and contractual obligations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or 5\+ years of relevant experience in purchasing, supply chain, or manufacturing
- Experience with inventory management and forecasting
- Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
- Experience managing supplier relationships and contracts
- Familiarity with procurement across categories such as metal, electronics/AV, wood, or plastics preferred
- Experience in project-based or manufacturing environments strongly preferred
- Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems (D365, SAP, or similar)
- Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable managing shifting priorities
Additional Details:
- Office-based role with regular computer and phone work
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs occasionally
- Travel up to 10% as needed
