Senior Mechanical Engineer

This role leads mechanical and HVAC design from concept through construction. They will work directly with clients to define project goals and scopes, set up system strategies, and act as the technical authority for mechanical solutions. They will manage mechanical work across single‑discipline and multi‑disciplinary projects, coordinating closely with project managers and other engineering teams to stay on schedule, on budget, and aligned with contract expectations. They will review and produce design deliverables, mentor junior engineers, and ensure all work meets code and QA/QC standards. During construction, they will support bidding and field activities respond to RFIs, reviewing submittals, participating in site visits and support commissioning and close‑out to ensure systems perform as intended.

Must Haves:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Working knowledge in the latest versions of AutoCAD and Autodesk Revit.
• Proven design and construction administration experience across K‑12, office, commercial, retail, data center, or municipal/government projects.
• Demonstrated strong leadership and technical oversight capabilities.

Nice to Haves:

• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license
• Experience mentoring junior engineers
• Ability to work with limited direction and be able to take direction from various departments and levels.

Monday-Thursday, 7AM-5PM EST; Fridays are hybrid

Salary:

$110,000-$180,000 depending on experience and qualifications
