The Science Team at Pride Health is currently supporting a client in the pharmaceutical industry and is having the Chemist

in Dayton, OH

Position Summary:

Chemist is responsible for ensuring products meet or exceed customer requirements for quality, safety, and compliance standards. This role supports manufacturing operations through analytical testing, process monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives. The Chemist 1 will develop a strong understanding of production systems, provide technical support, and help maintain high standards for product quality and operational efficiency.

Additional Details:

Pay range: $25 - $29/hour on W2 as per your experience

Contract Length: 12 Months with the possibility of extension

Key Responsibilities

• Perform analytical testing and assess quality parameters to ensure compliance with product specifications and safety standards
• Monitor and support quality systems including raw materials, calibration, maintenance, procedures, training, and auditing activities
• Review and analyze process data to identify trends, troubleshoot issues, and support corrective actions
• Provide process improvement support focused on waste reduction, process recovery, and cost minimization
• Approve final production batches and ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements
• Support food safety and quality assurance programs through testing, documentation, and oversight activities
• Coordinate training and collaboration with laboratory technicians and operations teams
• Assist with customer audits, investigations, and follow-up activities
• Maintain accurate laboratory records, reports, and documentation
• Independently solve moderately complex problems while escalating higher-level concerns when necessary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Biology, Food Science, Microbiology, or another related Science field required
• Laboratory, quality assurance, manufacturing, or food production experience preferred
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to interpret data and communicate findings effectively
• Proficiency with laboratory equipment, testing procedures, and computer systems
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Must be authorized to work in the United States.
