POSITION SUMMARY: They are seeking someone to manage the business’s financial records by recording daily transactions, reconciling bank statements, and handling payroll, accounts payable, and receivables.

They will ensure accuracy and compliance by leveraging their Foundation software to produce financial reports like cash flow statements, balance sheets and ad hoc reports for projects and the team as needed.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Demonstrating and modeling the company’s core values
  • Reviewing accounts payable and enter billings into Foundation Software, pay bills in a timely fashion
  • Accounts receivable: enter checks into Foundation
  • Process AIA monthly billings, texture billings, and collections
  • Prepare monthly union reports using Benesys
  • Assistance in preparing estimates as necessary
  • Prepare and enter new hire paperwork into Foundation
  • Prepare, bill, and maintain job files
  • Answer phones and assist customers as necessary
  • Provide backup for weekly payroll
  • Track internal data and own the Foundation Software
  • Create template for billings and share with the team
  • Help alleviate any issues with waivers being denied on jobs
  • Process map identifying any gaps in the accounting process and create workflow and process for areas such as payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and accounting software
  • Working with a team to help bring the accounting function in-house, potentially eliminating the need for a third party.

IDEAL BACKGROUND:

  • Commercial construction experience
