Head of Data

For our client, we are seeking a Head Of Data to join the team of a leader in the Business Services space. This role will lead work at the intersection of data, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable technology delivery. You will partner with business, technical, and operational stakeholders to build reporting, surface trends, and translate analysis into action. The position offers the opportunity to strengthen data-driven execution and help teams focus on the metrics that matter most within a Business Services environment.

Location: San Francisco, CA - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $230,000 – $275,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop a high-performing data analytics team
• Define and implement the company’s data platform aligned with organizational goals
• Collaborate with finance to extract insights on customer journey and growth
• Evaluate and integrate new technologies to enhance data capabilities
• Foster a culture of experimentation and continuous learning within the team

Qualifications

• 10\+ years of experience in data teams, focusing on product development
• 4\+ years in leadership roles managing data analysts, engineers, and scientists
• Proficiency in Snowflake, Sigma, Mixpanel, dbt cloud, and Looker
• Customer-focused, blending quantitative and qualitative insights
• Low ego, willing to engage directly in data projects
• Proactive in pushing data insights to teams without waiting for requests
• Emphasis on outcomes over simple output, driving business value
• Experience in building technical infrastructures for AI and automation
