Business Analyst / Project Manager Role Overview
This role sits within the IT Applications function and acts as a key connector between business teams and technology groups. The position is responsible for translating business needs into practical, technology-enabled solutions, improving operational effectiveness, and supporting the successful delivery of application and process initiatives across the organization.
The ideal candidate combines strong analytical capability with hands-on project coordination experience and a collaborative mindset.
Key Responsibilities Business Analysis \& Requirements Definition
- Partner with business users, functional leaders, and subject matter experts to understand current processes, challenges, and future objectives.
- Elicit, analyze, and document business and functional requirements through interviews, workshops, observations, and reviews.
- Translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements suitable for technical design and implementation.
Process \& Data Analysis
- Review existing workflows, systems, and data to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
- Develop insights and recommendations that support operational, financial, and strategic decision-making.
Solution Design \& Enablement
- Contribute to the design and definition of system and process solutions aligned with organizational goals.
- Produce functional specifications, process flows, use cases, and supporting documentation to guide development and deployment.
- Support solution readiness through documentation, user guidance, and knowledge transfer.
Stakeholder \& Team Communication
- Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT delivery teams, ensuring mutual understanding and alignment.
- Communicate project updates, risks, and decisions clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Project Coordination \& Delivery
- With support from the broader team, assist in planning and coordinating resources to deliver initiatives on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Track progress against agreed milestones and help manage dependencies, risks, and priorities.
Project \& Application Documentation
- Maintain clear and structured project documentation throughout the lifecycle, including:
+ Business and functional requirements
+ Interface and integration descriptions
+ Technical overviews and status reporting
Testing \& Validation
- Coordinate and support solution testing activities to confirm alignment with business requirements.
- Facilitate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), ensuring that solutions meet operational needs before release.
Change Enablement \& User Support
- Support change adoption through collaboration with key users and super users.
- Assist with training, coaching, and communications to ensure smooth transitions and minimized learning curves.
Adoption \& Performance Monitoring
- Assess user adoption and proficiency following deployment, in line with established change management practices.
- Monitor system effectiveness and recommend adjustments or enhancements based on performance feedback.
Qualifications Education \& Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with end users, developers, vendors, external partners, and senior leaders.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured, methodical approach to decision-making.
- Strong critical thinking skills, with the ability to evaluate data, processes, and alternative solutions.
- Adaptability and flexibility in dynamic, evolving business environments.
- Solid understanding of enterprise applications, data analysis concepts, and their application in business contexts.
Experience
- 5\+ years of experience working with enterprise applications (e.g., ERP, MES, SPC, production scheduling systems).
- 5\+ years of experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- 5\+ years of project management or project coordination experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
- Familiarity with common project management platforms (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Monday.com, Celoxis, or similar).
