The company has a strong executive team in place with deep experience in acquisition, redevelopment, leasing, property management, and construction management.They plan to acquire 15\+ distressed shopping centers in the next 5 years and continue to make communities better by investing capital and expertise in assets that affect the quality of life in each community they operate within.

The company is headquartered in Houston, TX, and is seeking a

Director of Construction

to join its team. In this role, you’ll step in at the helm of the Construction function, leading and directing all aspects of construction for this rapidly growing shopping center company. The position will be based in the Houston HQ office. Travel is necessary (35-40%). The company offers a competitive salary, 401k, \& health care.

This executive should have the following experiences and attributes:

• A minimum of 5-10 years of experience with at least 3-5 years of experience working as a construction manager with retail, mall, shopping center, or restaurant construction experience.
• Strong communication skills and a demonstrated team player.
• Experience working with tenants, architects, engineers, and construction managers of national retailers and restaurants.
• Strong organizational skills and experience in managing the paperwork for the complete construction process from estimation \& budgeting to the management of the construction process and post-construction punch lists.
• Thrives in a high-performance environment and likes to operate independently.
