Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Investment Banking Analyst based in Cincinnati, OH. The Analyst supports Deal Leads, Associates, and Senior Analysts through every phase of sell-side M\&A transactions - from prospect research and financial analysis through deal execution and closing. You'll build financial models, conduct due diligence, create presentations, and develop materials critical to the deal process including confidential information presentations and DCF models. ArkMalibu strongly believes in apprenticeship, and Analysts receive frequent, direct access to the Officers and Partners of the firm.

Responsibilities

  • Build and support deal deliverables including CIPs, financial forecasts, and valuation models with guidance from senior team members
  • Bring detailed analysis and a critical eye to deal processes and documentation
  • Communicate with clients and related parties to advance tasks and participate in meetings and drafting sessions
  • Research prospects, assess financial reports, and analyze client industries to support business development
  • Prepare industry snapshots, pitches, and ad hoc materials for senior bankers
  • Engage with the private equity community on deal pipeline and industry views
  • Take ownership of assignments and track related action items
  • Manage and develop interns, contributing to their growth
  • Identify areas for internal improvement and collaborate on solutions
  • Maintain operational data repositories to assist senior bankers

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related quantitative field
  • 1\+ years of experience or internships in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, consulting, or corporate finance
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and CapIQ/PitchBook
  • Ability to manage multiple intellectually demanding tasks while meeting deadlines and servicing ad-hoc requests
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
