The Associate Buyer takes a hands-on approach in carrying out Soligent’s procurement strategies. and vendor communication. Thriving in a remote, fast-paced, dynamic environment, the Associate Buyer plays an instrumental part in bringing clean, affordable, and modern energy to the world.
Our ideal candidate will be responsible for the following:
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Placing POs, drop ship orders and stocking
- Inputting order confirmations and tracking received and following up with suppliers on open orders.
- Completing real-time purchase price updates and related communication to stakeholders
- Processing and monitoring VRAs
- Tracking ERD and communicating updates real time to stakeholders
- Coordinating with warehouses on delivery status and communication to and from suppliers, including arranging freight pick-up from suppliers or for warehouse transfers.
- Coordinating with warehouses and suppliers on damaged inbound product and shipping discrepancies
- Monitoring and pushing communication on expedited shipments and updates with suppliers
- Working with suppliers when there are any shipping issues or discrepancies with product (e.g. damaged boxes, different quantity, poor quality, VRAs, etc).
- Interfacing with all departments and resolving problems and issues as necessary.
- Covering for the planners as needed, including sending out data to suppliers or helping respond to sales or supplier questions.
- Confirming order confirmations match exactly to purchase orders in the system.
- Maintaining and reporting out on individual and team objectives, key results, and KPIs.
- Maintaining SOPs, process instructions, and contributing to ongoing process improvement initiatives, including exploring tools to enhance team workflows and overall efficiency.
- Occasionally joining supplier calls and building a relationship with supplier contacts
- Supporting with all other duties as assigned by manager
QUALIFICATIONS
- In-depth Excel knowledge; experience working with large data sets in Excel
- Proficiency with ERP systems- NetSuite preferred.
- Successful experience working with internal and external stakeholders, including customers and vendor partners
- Ability to communicate effectively with partners at all levels
- Ability to act as a flexible and innovative team player with a roll-up-the-sleeves attitude and a hands-on approach
- Ability to manage time effectively and be focused on setting and executing clear objectives and priorities
- Commitment to excellence and high standards
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within changing priorities with enthusiasm
- Ability to exercise strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
EDUCATION \& EXPERIENCE
- 2\+ Years in Buying, Purchasing, or similar role preferred

Compensation for this role is expected to be between $58,000 - $62,000\. Actual compensation may vary based on geographic differentials in the labor market, experience, and other factors.
