Overview
We are looking for a
Senior Director, Sales Operations,
who will be responsible for the development and direction of the company’s sales strategy, revenue roadmap, and top-line growth objectives. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role requires a leader with a strong skill set in sales strategy and organizational leadership, and close collaboration with Marketing to support an exceptional customer experience.
Duties/Responsibilities
· Define and lead the overall sales strategy in collaboration with the executive team.
· Motivate and guide sales leadership to consistently meet and exceed sales quotas.
· Recruit, develop, and mentor a high-performing sales leadership team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
· Analyze sales and operational metrics to assess performance against revenue goals, profitability targets, and emerging market opportunities.
· Lead the development of financial forecasts and sales projections to inform executive-level strategic planning.
· Generate data and insights from customer preferences to refine sales approaches and direct efforts effectively.
· Identify and evaluate potential new markets, channels, and customer segments for growth.
· Develop comprehensive e-commerce strategies to drive online sales growth for direct to consumer and retail partner platforms
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize and enhance e-commerce operations and customer engagement.
· Establish territory frameworks and performance targets for the sales teams.
· Work closely with the Marketing department to align sales strategy with integrated strategies and campaigns that enhance the overall customer experience.
· Collaborate on market research and customer feedback to refine sales tactics and improve product offerings.
· Represent the company in strategic customer engagements, trade association meetings, and industry events to enhance brand visibility and partnerships.
· Travel up to 30%
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.
- Proven track record of excellence in sales leadership and customer relationship management.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Problem-Solving abilities with complex customer challenges
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
- Training and Development of People
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- A minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in sales leadership, with national retail accounts and a demonstrated record of achieving sales targets and driving growth.
- Proven track record and revenue growth of a small to mid-size brand would be a plus.
