Overview

Full time position primarily focused on defined benefit actuarial work with expanded opportunities to collaborate with our investment services and plan administration teams. An interest in a broad range of retirement plan work is a must as responsibilities will span actuarial, investment, and administration services for defined benefit and Other Post-Employment Benefit plans. Must be able to demonstrate mathematical aptitude, attention to detail, and project management skills. The ideal candidate will be dynamic and agile, with an entrepreneurial spirit and a thirst for learning new areas and developing a variety of skills.

How You'll Make An Impact

Responsibilities include:

  • Annual pension valuation work, including data reconciliation, government filings, valuation reports, charts and presentations, etc.
  • Estimating and implementing pension risk transfer strategies, including annuity purchases, lump sum windows, and plan terminations
  • Working within plan administration platform to prepare and deliver benefit calculations, employee benefit statements, and other participant notices as well as data cleanup projects
  • Working with plan investments, reconciling assets, reviewing performance, and generating funded status estimates for plan sponsors
  • Assisting sales and marketing efforts by providing research for strategic initiatives and supporting proposal response process

Location: Ability to work out of our Framingham, MA office preferred, but applicants able to work out of our New York City office will also be considered.

About You

We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in mathematics, economics, statistics, or actuarial science. Candidate must have strong communication skills, a willingness to expand knowledge in all areas of retirement consulting, be detail-oriented and self-motivated. Candidate will be working with Excel and other Microsoft Office applications along with a host of other in-house software. Demonstrated success with SOA actuarial exams strongly preferred.

Immediate and Summer 2026 start dates will be considered. Up to 3 years of experience will be considered.

The actual compensation will be influenced by a wide range of factors including, but not limited to previous experience, education, pay market/geography, complexity or scope, specialized skill set, lines of business/practice area, supply/demand, and scheduled hours.
