Business Analyst – Manufacturing Operations
Location:
Austin, Texas
Our client is building a new operating model to deliver precision-built, sustainable homes at scale. As the business moves into execution, structured program delivery, coordination, and data-driven decision-making are critical. The Business Analyst supports the COO and leadership team by maintaining execution discipline across active programs. The role combines project coordination and business analysis, ensuring plans, reporting, and risks are current and accurate, while supporting the development of scalable systems and processes.
Note:
This role is based at the company's manufacturing facility in the Austin area. Candidates must have a background in manufacturing environments.
Key Responsibilities
Program Execution Support
- Maintain integrated project plans, actions, and milestones
- Ensure plans are current, accurate, and aligned to agreed priorities
- Coordinate inputs from internal teams and delivery partners
- Support working sessions and track follow-through on actions
Reporting \& Data Integrity
- Maintain structured reporting to support leadership visibility
- Track progress against milestones and highlight deviations
- Ensure consistency and accuracy of program data
Risk \& Issue Tracking
- Maintain the program risk and issue register
- Track mitigation actions and ensure ownership is active
- Escalate risks in a timely and structured manner
Business Analysis \& Systems
- Support the COO in assessing and improving operational systems and processes
- Develop functional requirements for IT platforms (e.g. P2P, ERP, Digital)
- Translate operational needs into structured inputs for system partners
- Support implementation and continuous improvement of systems
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve execution and coordination
- Support structured problem-solving and process improvements
Candidate Requirements
- \~5 years' experience in consulting, business analysis, or structured delivery environments
- Manufacturing background required
- Strong analytical capability, including functional specification development
- Experience working within or alongside a PMO
- Exposure to manufacturing, operations, or continuous improvement environments
- Strong attention to detail and execution follow-through
- Clear, structured communicator
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Operations, or a related discipline
- Equivalent practical experience considered
