Our challenge

We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst with a strong foundation in SQL development and hands-on experience in data analysis, reporting, and dashboarding to support our Investment Banking (IB) Reporting team, primarily working on data migration and reconciliation projects

Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within New York City, NY is $140k - $145k/year \& benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

• Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and performance-tuned scripts.
• Extract, transform, and validate data from multiple sources.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI tools.
• Work on migration from legacy reporting platforms to modern systems.
• Perform data reconciliation and ensure data accuracy.
• Support dashboarding and reporting needs.
• Drive improvements through automation and efficiency initiatives.
• Relevant experience in Investment Banking / Financial Services is preferred.

Requirements:

• Strong data understanding and analysis skills.
• Experience in BI reporting and analytics (Power BI, Cognos, etc.).
• Hands-on experience in data migration and reconciliation.
• Good knowledge of SQL and data validation.
• Exposure to automation initiatives / process improvements.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive approach.

Preferred, but not required:

• Experience with Python (Pandas, NumPy) for data analysis.
• Exposure to ETL tools and data pipelines.
