Our challenge

We are looking for a skilled Data Architect with strong experience in Database Administration (DBA) and Data Modeling to design, manage, optimize, and govern enterprise data platforms. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating scalable database architectures, ensuring data integrity, performance tuning, security, and developing conceptual, logical, and physical data models aligned with business requirements.

This role bridges business needs and technical implementation, ensuring reliable, secure, and high-performing data systems that support analytics, applications, and operational processes.

Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Dallas, TX is $115k - $120k/year \& benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

  • Experience in Data Architecture, Data Modeling, and Database Design
  • Experience designing greenfield enterprise applications
  • Financial Services / Payments / Banking domain preferred
  • Work directly with business stakeholders to understand requirements and business processes
  • Identify domains, sub-domains, entities, relationships, and business rules
  • Convert business requirements into conceptual, logical, and physical data models
  • Design scalable OLTP database schemas for high-volume transaction systems
  • Design reporting and analytics data models.
  • Define data architecture for Transactions, Fees, Expenses, Merchant Onboarding, Settlement, and Funding
  • Design data integration and ETL strategies
  • Optimize databases for millions of records and high-volume data processing
  • Design partitioning, indexing, archival, and data retention strategies
  • Support reporting, batch jobs, scheduled jobs, and downstream consumers
  • Collaborate with architects, developers, product owners, and business teams
  • Provide DBA guidance for performance tuning, query optimization, backup, recovery, and capacity planning
