Job Description
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Exhibits a degree of ingenuity, creativity, and resourcefulness when collecting, and processing data for analysis while working as part of an Agile scrum team
- Applies and/or develops workflows that clean, transform and aggregate unorganized data into databases or data sources
- Responsible for collecting, ingesting, processing, and storing large datasets from a wide variety of data sources and stakeholders
- Maintain data systems performance by identifying and resolving production and application development problems; calculating optimum values for parameters; evaluating, integrating, and installing new releases
- Collaborate with data architects and data analysts to develop solutions across the entire data processing pipeline
Basic Qualifications
- US Citizenship
- Demonstrated experience with databases
(SAP HAN
A, SQL server,
Oracl
e, etc.) and database connectivity (ODBC, JDBC, data virtualization, etc.
- Demonstrated experience with developing data warehouse solutions (Hana calculation views, table functions, stored procedures, etc
- Demonstrated experience with Extract Transform and Load (ETL) tools such as
SAP Data Service
s, Informatica, NiFi, SQL Server Integration Services, or equivalents
- Proficiency with languages/tools such as SQL, Java, and/or GIT
- Understanding of/experience with open-source tools and CI/CD best practices
- Ability to implement technical strategy
- Familiarity with AWS/Cloud Technologies
- Hands-on experience working with visualization tools such as Business Objects, Tableau, or others.
- Knowledge of various data processing architectural design patterns
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to assist in understanding and managing internal customer requirements
- Strong business process knowledge – understanding of the business acumen, processes, and functional tools.
- Apply best practices for modeling data for analysis and advanced analytics use cases and coach other team members to learn these best practices
- Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education
Desired skills
- Expertise in developing data warehouse solutions
- Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), and/or Manufacturing Execution System (MES) or other systems and processes
- Experience with middleware tools such as SAP Process Integration, Red Hat Fuse, MuleSoft, etc.
- Experience with real time and batch data integration via REST API, Web Services, and/or message queues with various data formats like XML and JSON.
- Experience with data catalog and business glossary platforms such as Colli
