Data Engineer

with strong hands-on expertise in

Snowflake

to design, develop, and optimize modern data platforms and data pipelines. The ideal candidate should have experience building scalable ELT/ETL solutions, implementing data models, and working with cloud technologies in an enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Snowflake.
  • Build robust ETL/ELT workflows to ingest, transform, and load data from multiple source systems.
  • Develop and optimize Snowflake databases, schemas, tables, views, stored procedures, and tasks.
  • Implement dimensional data models and support enterprise data warehouse initiatives.
  • Optimize Snowflake performance through query tuning, clustering, partitioning, and warehouse optimization.
  • Work with structured and semi-structured data (JSON, Parquet, Avro, etc.).
  • Develop data quality checks, validation frameworks, and monitoring processes.
  • Collaborate with Data Architects, BI Developers, Data Scientists, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality data solutions.
  • Implement security, governance, and access control following best practices.
  • Participate in code reviews, CI/CD implementation, and production support.

Required Skills

  • 7\+ years of experience in Data Engineering.
  • Strong hands-on experience with

Snowflake

.

  • Advanced SQL with expertise in query optimization and performance tuning.
  • Experience in ETL/ELT development using tools such as Matillion, Informatica, Talend, ADF, dbt, or similar.
  • Strong programming experience in Python.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and data lake architecture.
  • Experience working with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Apache Airflow or other workflow orchestration tools.
  • Exposure to Kafka or other streaming technologies.
  • Knowledge of Spark or Databricks.
  • Experience working in Banking or Financial Services domains.
  • Snowflake Certification is an added advantage.

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, Time Travel, Zero-Copy Cloning, and Snowpark.
  • Experience with Terraform or Infrastructure as Code.
  • Understanding of data governance, metadata management, and data security best practices.
