The Role
- Manage, maintain, and optimize business-critical Postgres and Oracle database environments to ensure 24/7 availability.
- Lead proactive performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization to keep high-traffic systems running at peak efficiency.
- Orchestrate complex database upgrades, security patching, and robust backup/recovery testing protocols.
- Collaborate closely with DevOps and cross-functional engineering teams to support CI/CD pipelines and modern deployment workflows.
- Drive database security and compliance standards, maintaining rigorous documentation and best-in-class data integrity.
What You'll Need
- Substantial experience as a Database Administrator (DBA), with deep technical fluency in both Postgres and Oracle architectures.
- Proven track record in troubleshooting complex database issues and identifying bottlenecks in high-pressure environments.
- Hands-on experience with database security best practices, encryption, and access control management.
- Familiarity with modern infrastructure tools, including DevOps methodologies and supporting automated deployment cycles.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently while contributing to a high-performing technical team.
