We are seeking an experienced Database Developer to join our team in Montreal to support high-impact projects within Investment Banking. You will design, develop, and optimize database solutions for time-sensitive initiatives in Debt Capital Markets, including book-building platforms and client-facing portals.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable database architectures supporting capital markets applications

• Develop and optimize stored procedures, functions, and complex SQL queries for high-volume transactional systems

• Collaborate with front-end and back-end developers to integrate data layers into trading and deal management platforms

• Ensure data integrity, security, and performance across production environments

• Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, and performance tuning

• Support data migration and ETL processes as required

Requirements:

• 3\+ years of experience as a Database Developer in financial services or capital markets

• Strong proficiency in relational database technologies and SQL

• Experience with stored procedures, triggers, indexing, and query optimization

• Familiarity with investment banking workflows, particularly Debt Capital Markets

• Understanding of data modeling, ETL pipelines, and database performance tuning

• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under tight deadlines
