Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain relational and non-relational database systems
• Monitor database performance, conduct tuning, and optimize queries for efficiency
• Develop and enforce database security policies, access controls, and backup/recovery procedures
• Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to support data modeling and schema design
• Troubleshoot and resolve database issues, outages, and performance bottlenecks
• Perform regular database maintenance, patching, and version upgrades
• Document database configurations, processes, and standard operating procedures

Requirements:

• 2\+ years of experience in database administration or a related database specialist role
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with database platforms such as Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MS SQL Server
• Experience with database performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization
• Familiarity with backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies
• Strong understanding of data security, access management, and compliance best practices
• Ability to obtain or currently hold a relevant security clearance (in order to access client systems)
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Remote work environment
