Job Description

Agility Partners is seeking a qualified Lead Techno-Functional Architect to fill an open position with one of our clients. This is an exciting opportunity to guide a high visibility, regulatory driven modernization effort during its most critical phase. The role focuses on the Defined Concept stage of a major NDC/UPC reform initiative spanning SAP, WMS, EDI, and serialization systems. This architect will lead cross functional discovery, assess enterprise impacts, and establish the architectural foundation required for Blueprint readiness.

Responsibilities

  • Lead enterprise discovery workshops, facilitate cross-domain architectural discussions, and drive alignment on scope, risks, and system dependencies.
  • Map current-state data and integration flows across SAP, WMS, EDI, and serialization platforms, producing high-quality architectural documentation.
  • Conduct technical impact analysis for the shift from 10 digit to 12 digit NDC, including schema, payload, and trading partner implications.
  • Guide enterprise architecture alignment, evaluate solution patterns, and contribute to Blueprint-level recommendations and executive summaries.

The Ideal Candidate

•12\+ years of experience in Supply Chain IT or Pharma IT with deep enterprise integration expertise.

  • Strong working knowledge of SAP ECC/S4, EDI (X12), WMS integrations, and serialization/EPCIS.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead enterprise architecture workshops and command conversations with Director/VP-level stakeholders.
  • Strong data modeling skills with field level understanding of transformation constraints.
  • Experience navigating regulatory-driven initiatives (DSCSA, serialization, FDA).
  • Familiarity with Manhattan WM/MAWM, GTIN/NDC standards, and architecture diagramming tools (Lucid, Visio).
  • Background in ETL or data warehousing technologies (DataStage, QualityStage, Informatica).

Reasons to Love It

  • Opportunity to influence a highly visible, enterprise-wide regulatory modernization initiative.
  • Strategic, high-impact role shaping architectural direction—not a note-taking or coordinator position.
  • Work across SAP, WMS, EDI, serialization, and data platforms on a truly cross-functional initiative.
  • Chance to define future-state architecture and present directly to senior leadership.
