Job Description
We are pleased to be partnering a private investment office managing a diversified portfolio. As a lean and entrepreneurial team, the client operates with agility, high standards of discretion, and a long-term orientation. Due to strong growth achieved over the past few years, they are seeking their
first dedicated HR professional
(circa. $90k annual base) to build and shape the people function. This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives in a small, trust-based environment and wants to play a pivotal role in scaling a sophisticated investment team.
The Opportunity
Reporting directly to senior leadership, you will be the sole HR practitioner responsible for establishing foundational HR practices while supporting the continued growth of the team. This is an ideal role for a versatile HR generalist who enjoys wearing multiple hats and building scalable systems in a confidential setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end HR lifecycle matters, from talent acquisition, onboarding to offboarding, including payroll processing
- Develop and implement core HR policies, processes, and employee handbook tailored to a family office environment
- Ensure full compliance with Singapore employment laws (MOM, CPF, PDPA, Employment Act)
- Serve as a trusted advisor on employee relations, culture, and organisational development
- Handle ad-hoc projects (e.g., office administration support or vendor management)
Requirements
- 5–10 years of progressive HR experience, ideally as a first or early HR hire in a startup, SME, asset management firm, hedge fund, PE/VC, or even family office
- Deep knowledge of Singapore employment regulations and best practices
- Hands-on experience implementing HR processes and basic HRIS/tools
- High degree of discretion, integrity, and emotional intelligence — you will handle sensitive and confidential matters
- Excellent written and verbal communications. Additional languages beyond English are a strong advantage.
What is on Offer
- Opportunity to shape the culture and people practices of a growing private investment firm
- Direct exposure to senior leadership i.e. minimal layers
- This role is best suited for a proactive, solutions-focused professional who values impact, discretion, and long-term relationships over large corporate structures
