What you'll do:

As Plant Manager you will play a central role in shaping the success of Vietnam's manufacturing operations. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve overseeing all facets of production-from supply chain management through to quality assurance-while ensuring that every process aligns with both local regulations and global standards. You will be instrumental in translating strategic objectives into actionable plans that deliver measurable results in productivity and profitability. By fostering a culture rooted in safety, accountability, and continuous learning among your team members, you will help create an environment where operational excellence thrives. Your ability to analyse operational data will enable you to make informed decisions that drive improvements across cost control measures as well as product consistency. In addition to managing supplier relationships and optimising logistics flows for maximum efficiency, you will also serve as the primary point of contact between local teams and executive leadership abroad-ensuring seamless communication throughout all levels of the organisation.

  • Oversee end-to-end manufacturing operations in Vietnam, ensuring production targets are consistently met with optimal quality, efficiency, safety, and cost control across all departments.
  • Act as the legal representative for the Vietnam entity by guaranteeing compliance with all Vietnamese EHS, labour, and environmental regulations while upholding group policies and ethical standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across productivity, yield optimisation, waste reduction, and equipment effectiveness by embedding EHS considerations into every aspect of business strategy.
  • Lead the implementation of robust quality management systems by conducting root-cause analysis for deviations and fostering a strong culture of quality through audits and ongoing training.
  • Own the profit and loss responsibility for Vietnam operations by implementing rigorous cost control measures and partnering with finance teams on budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and capital expenditure planning.
  • Manage procurement activities by developing strategic supplier partnerships to secure high-quality materials at competitive costs while optimising inventory levels and logistics flows.
  • Guide international trade operations by analysing trade laws and customs regulations to facilitate smooth cross-border transactions and ensure compliance with country-specific requirements.
  • Develop and motivate a high-performing management team by setting clear objectives, KPIs, performance management processes, and driving talent development initiatives.
  • Ensure effective office administration by maintaining strong internal controls over HR processes, payroll, controlling, reporting functions, and supporting both internal and external audits.
  • Provide regular structured reporting to group management on KPIs, financial performance metrics, risks identified, and improvement initiatives using data-driven insights.

  • Minimum 10-15 years' experience in operations management within non-woven or textile manufacturing industries-preferably with hands-on exposure to carding technology.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Textile Technology or related field providing a solid foundation for technical decision-making within complex manufacturing environments.
  • Extensive knowledge of textiles manufacturing processes including deep familiarity with carding line technology enabling you to optimise production workflows effectively.
  • Proven track record in implementing robust quality control systems coupled with experience driving continuous improvement initiatives that enhance product consistency.
  • Strong analytical skills allowing you to interpret operational data accurately for informed decision-making aimed at improving profitability across multiple sites.
  • Excellent communication abilities-both written and verbal-in English facilitating effective engagement with cross-functional teams as well as executive stakeholders globally.
  • In-depth understanding of EHS regulations relevant to manufacturing operations alongside customs regulations pertinent to import/export activities under processing models.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop strategic supplier partnerships that secure material quality at competitive costs while mitigating supply chain risks efficiently.
  • Experience guiding teams through periods of operational change by setting clear objectives/KPIs whilst nurturing talent development within a collaborative environment.
  • Commitment to upholding ethical standards through transparent governance practices ensuring full compliance with local labour law/tax/legal/environmental requirements.
