Human Centered Design Lead

Primary Responsibilities:

• You will define the architectural vision and engineering standards for our most critical software initiatives. You aren't just writing code; you are shaping the technical strategy that drives business results. You will act as a high-level subject matter expert, guiding complex projects from conceptualization through delivery while mentoring the next generation of technical talent.
• Experience with user research, journey mapping, and usability testing
• Ability to translate workflows into intuitive UI requirements
• Familiarity with accessibility standards (Section 508)
• Design and develop highly innovative, scalable software solutions and frameworks that align with long-term strategic goals.
• Recommend and implement new technical standards and products that improve the efficiency and quality of the entire software release lifecycle.
• Resolve mission-critical technical challenges using advanced reasoning, research, and the integration of industry best practices.
• Lead and manage the work of other technical staff, ensuring high-impact project outputs and fostering a culture of engineering excellence.
• Oversee the full lifecycle—including configuration management, testing, and bug fixing—to ensure the integrity of the software product.
• Regularly interface with internal and client executive leadership to advise on matters of significant organizational importance.
• Influence stakeholders to adopt new concepts, practices, and modern engineering approaches.
• Serve as the definitive authority within your technical domain, applying deep theoretical knowledge across a broad range of programs.

Basic Qualifications:

• BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Expert-level proficiency in one or more modern programming languages and a proven track record of delivering complex software products.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with enterprise/government systems preferred
• Systems Development inside of DoW experience preferred.
• Current or active Clearance
