Your New Role

This is a 24-month Max Term Contract opportunity to join AustralianSuper at an exciting stage as we build our enterprise Design System from the ground up. As a Design System Designer, you'll play a key role in creating the foundations that enable consistent, accessible and scalable digital experiences across web, mobile and member-facing platforms. Working closely with the Design System Lead, Product Designers and Engineers, you'll help shape reusable components, patterns and standards that improve delivery efficiency and enhance the experience of millions of members.

In This Role, You Will:

  • Design and maintain reusable UI components, patterns and design tokens within the Design System.
  • Create scalable design solutions that can be applied consistently across multiple digital channels.
  • Develop high-quality documentation and guidance to support Design System adoption across teams.
  • Collaborate with Product Designers, Engineers and Product Owners to deliver practical and user-centred solutions.
  • Champion accessibility, usability and design consistency across all digital experiences.
  • Continuously improve Design System assets based on feedback, usage insights and evolving business needs.

What You'll Need:

  • Experience working with Design Systems, component libraries and scalable UI frameworks.
  • Advanced Figma skills, including component libraries, variants, variables and design tokens.
  • Strong understanding of Design System principles, modular design and reusable design patterns.
  • Experience collaborating closely with engineering teams to align design and implementation.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design practices, with the ability to design to WCAG 2\.2 AA standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for creating high-quality, consistent digital experiences.
