Developer

Contract

with a client in

Chicago, IL.

Candidates must bring deep Java 1\.8 and Spring Boot experience to deliver microservices, perform unit/system testing, and integrate applications with databases and related frameworks.

Rate Range:

$46/hour to $49/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Developer Job Responsibilities Include

• Develop and enhance backend applications using Java 1\.8, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture.
• Build and integrate REST/SOAP services and ensure smooth connectivity with databases such as DB2/SQL.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and work with Docker, Kubernetes, and related deployment tools to support continuous delivery.
• Perform unit testing and system testing using JUnit/Mockito to ensure high‑quality, secure, and reliable code.
• Collaborate with technical leads and cross‑functional teams to understand requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
• Contribute to front‑end development as needed using React, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other supporting technologies.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 8–10 years of development experience, with strong hands‑on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices.
• Proven experience working with CI/CD pipelines, Docker/Kubernetes, and modern DevOps practices.
• Strong full‑stack capability with exposure to React, JavaScript/HTML/CSS, and database integration using DB2/SQL.

Pay Details:

$46\.00 to $49\.00 per hour
