Overview

We are seeking an experienced

Developer III (API)

who thrives in a fast-paced, integration-heavy environment and enjoys working at the center of enterprise data movement.

The ideal candidate

has

strong JavaScript expertise and deep hands-on experience building and supporting REST and SOAP APIs

, ideally within complex middleware or enterprise integration ecosystems. You should be comfortable working across multiple concurrent initiatives, often shifting between priorities while maintaining high-quality, reliable service delivery.

This role is best suited for someone who has worked in

distributed systems or integration platforms

, and understands how to troubleshoot and support real-time data flows between internal systems, external partners, and cloud/on-prem environments. Experience with API gateways, authentication patterns, and enterprise integration tools is highly valued.

We are looking for someone who is

technically confident, highly collaborative, and comfortable operating with autonomy

, while also supporting and guiding others in a shared services environment. Strong communication skills are essential, as you’ll be working closely with multiple teams across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and support API-based integrations and middleware services
  • Develop and maintain REST and SOAP-based APIs
  • Support authentication, credentialing, and secure data exchange workflows
  • Troubleshoot complex integration and production issues
  • Assist with payload tracing, routing, and service orchestration
  • Collaborate across multiple enterprise teams and concurrent initiatives
  • Provide technical guidance and support for integration standards

Required Skills

  • 4\+ years of application development experience
  • Strong experience with

JavaScript

and API development

  • Hands-on experience with

SOAP and RESTful services

  • Background in systems integration or distributed systems
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, multi-priority environments
  • Strong troubleshooting and communication skills

About the Team (LEDS)

LEDS (Leverage Enterprise Data Services) is a 20-member integration team responsible for enterprise-wide API and middleware services. The team supports integrations across:

  • Internal enterprise systems
  • External partners
  • Government and military programs
  • Commercial and healthcare lines of business

This is a highly collaborative engineering group supporting mission-critical real-time integrations.
