About The Role
The role drives the design, scaling, and maintenance of cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines, ensuring high availability and fault tolerance for core production services.
The engineer will collaborate closely with software development teams to transition setups to containerized microservices, build robust infrastructure-as-code patterns, and continuously improve platform reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and provision scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS using Terraform to maintain immutable infrastructure-as-code configurations
- Manage and optimize multi-cluster Kubernetes environments, ensuring efficient resource utilization, service discovery, and security compliance
- Build and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins to support rapid and safe application deployments
- Implement end-to-end monitoring, logging, and alerting systems using Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK stack to proactively detect and resolve incidents
- Partner with backend engineering teams to architect fault-tolerant systems, run chaos engineering drills, and establish SLOs and SLAs
- Participate in a shared, collaborative on-call rotation and lead post-mortem incident reviews to drive systemic platform improvements
What We Are Looking For
- 3–6 years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or systems engineering supporting production environments at scale
- Deep expertise with infrastructure-as-code tools (specifically Terraform) and container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, ECS)
- Strong proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Bash, or Go
- Solid understanding of networking concepts (VPCs, DNS, load balancing, SSL/TLS) and cloud security best practices
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- Bonus: Experience with service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd), GitOps workflows (ArgoCD, Flux), or managing distributed streaming platforms like Kafka
