Role Description
The DevOps Engineer will design, implement, and maintain the scalable infrastructure needed to support UniWattAI’s AI-driven software agents. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include building and managing CI pipelines, maintaining cloud and on-premise environments, automating deployments using Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and monitoring system performance and reliability.
You will collaborate closely with software engineers and data teams to streamline releases, improve observability, and enhance security and resilience across all environments. This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Athens, featuring a healthy mix of on-site collaboration and work-from-home flexibility.
Qualifications
- Software Development:
Solid programming experience with a strong emphasis on
Python
(experience with Go or Java is a bonus) for building tooling, automation, and integrations.
- CI/CD Expertise:
Hands-on experience building, maintaining, and optimizing Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment pipelines, with a primary focus on
GitLab CI
.
- Cloud Platforms:
Familiarity with modern cloud architecture. Hands-on experience with
Google Cloud (GCP) and/or Azure is a strong plus
.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC):
Strong skills in IaC tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar frameworks.
- Containerization \& Observability:
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and modern observability tools for logging, metrics, and tracing.
- Technical Writing \& Proposals:
Strong
proposal write-up capabilities
, with the ability to clearly articulate technical architectures, document infrastructure processes, and draft project proposals for cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Linux \& System Administration:
Advanced Linux skills (shell scripting, performance tuning, package management) alongside proficient system administration (managing servers, networking, security best practices, and troubleshooting production incidents).
- Collaboration:
Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical teams.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
