Need DevOps and Platform Engineer
Local to MO Only - Remote role
Job Description:
- The DevTools team supports the client software delivery toolchain and enables development teams to build, test, secure, and deploy applications efficiently.
- As an Engineer on the Development Tools team candidates will play a key part in creating and maintaining automated solutions that streamline the CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery) process for various development teams across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, Develop, and Maintain Automation: Candidates will design, modify, and code automation scripts and pipelines within the CI/CD framework. These solutions will leverage relevant technologies to optimize workflow efficiency across multiple teams.
- Champion Best Practices: Candidates will actively mentor junior engineers, establishing and driving high coding standards within the DevTools team.
- Ensure Platform Uptime and Performance: Candidates will be responsible for monitoring and upgrading platform tools to ensure their optimal performance and functionality.
- Code Review and Testing: Candidates will actively participate in code reviews, contributing to quality control. Additionally, candidates will be responsible for conducting unit and integration testing to ensure code functionality.
- Requirements Analysis and Testing: Candidates will assist with analyzing and reviewing platform tool requirements, providing valuable insights into testing strategies and code design.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Ability to troubleshoot and utilize the relevant findings to resolve incidents
- Ability to plan, communicate, and perform product upgrades
- Knowledge of Test Automation tools
- Must possess excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Must possess willingness and drive to learn
- Strong teamwork abilities in a collaborative environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Required
:
- 3 plus years of experience support DevOps related technologies (CI/CD orchestration, source code management, binary management, etc.)
- 3 plus years of infrastructure engineering experience, including Linux and Windows
- Experience with JIRA, Confluence, and/or similar tools
- Experience with agile development methodologies and tools such as Scrum or Kanban
- Experience with middleware technologies like WebLogic and Tomcat
- Must be committed to incorporating security into all decisions and daily job responsibilities
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred
- Experience with Jenkins, Bitbucket, Artifactory, and Test Automation tools
- Experience writing Java Python and Groovy
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker
- Experience with cloud platforms, such as AWS and Azure
